ORDER & CANCELLATION
What does it mean that you manufacture the jewelry "Made to Order"?
This means that we create every piece of jewelry only after an order is placed and therefore especially for you! In an industry that traditionally relies on mass production and limited transparency, we founded Stilnest to take a new, more resource-friendly approach.
Each piece is crafted with care; some are available immediately, while others are made to order. The estimated shipping date can be found on the product page or in your shopping cart. We ship your entire order in one package as soon as all pieces are ready—so please place gift orders with enough lead time. Any deviations, such as seasonal production times, will always be communicated promptly.
I’ve already paid, but haven’t received a shipping update yet – why?
Each piece is crafted with care; some are available immediately, while others are made to order. You can find the estimated shipping date on the product page or in your shopping cart. We ship your order in one package as soon as all items are ready.
Once your order has been hand-finished by our goldsmiths and is ready for shipment, you will immediately receive a shipping confirmation with a tracking link.
Where can I find my order number?
Can I cancel my order?
Yes, this is possible. Please contact our Customer Care Team as soon as possible, for example via care@stilnest.com or the small chat icon (WhatsApp). However, personalized jewelry and pieces with individual engraving cannot be canceled. Gift vouchers can be returned for store credit, but not for a cash refund. Unfortunately, we cannot offer partial cancellations, but you can return part of your order after receiving it. If you are unsure – just ask us! We are always happy to help.
Can I still change my order?
It depends. We will do our best—please send us a message as soon as possible via care@stilnest.com or the small chat icon (WhatsApp).
Can I still change my shipping address?
Yes! Please send us a message via care@stilnest.com or the small WhatsApp icon.
Do you offer a guarantee?
Yes! Our goal is for your piece of jewelry to become a lifelong companion for you. That’s why we offer a repair service, which is free for the first 365 days thanks to our warranty program.
Your order is a gift and doesn't arrive on time?
We apologize if we are causing a delay and the gift doesn’t reach you in time. You are welcome to download our gift card and either fill it out digitally or print it and write a message by hand. This way, you won’t be empty-handed and can let the recipient know that a gift is still on its way.
PAYMENT
How can I pay?
You can pay via instant bank transfer (Klarna), PayPal, Buy Now, Pay Later (Klarna), credit card (Visa, Mastercard, American Express), and EPS transfer. This way, you can order the product securely and know that your purchase is protected.
Can I pay in installments?
Installment payments are possible via Klarna or PayPal. A positive credit check is also required. During the checkout process, you will be informed directly by the respective payment provider whether an installment payment option is available to you.
My payment via Klarna was rejected, why?
We’re sorry that this payment method is not available to you! A positive credit check is required to grant this payment option. This is automatically conducted by Klarna and includes an internal, non-disclosed checklist. Unfortunately, we have no influence over or insight into this process. Of course, our many other payment options are still available to you, such as PayPal, credit card, and Sofortüberweisung.
How do I get my refund if I have paid via Klarna?
Refunds are automatically issued to the payment method used for the order after the return has been processed. In this case, that is Klarna. The amount of your refund may vary depending on the payment plan and whether it is a full or partial return. Any outstanding payments may still need to be made. For further information, please contact Klarna customer service.
Can you pause my Klarna invoice if my order hasn't arrived yet?
No. Unfortunately, we cannot intervene in Klarna’s payment terms, which means your invoice must be paid within 30 days, regardless of the order status. However, you do have the option to notify Klarna that your order has not yet arrived, which in most cases can pause your payment for a few additional days.

Where do you manufacture your jewelry?
Our jewelry is crafted in selected goldsmiths in Germany and, more recently, in our own workshop in Bali. On each product page, you can find out exactly which workshop your piece of jewelry comes from.
Is there a qualitative difference between the individual manufactories?

How long does the production take?
Each piece is crafted with care; some are available immediately, while others are made to order. You can find the estimated shipping date on the product page or in your shopping cart. Up to five workshops and eight passionate goldsmiths, stone setters, and casters may be involved in creating your piece of jewelry.
Once your jewelry is on its way, you will receive a shipping confirmation with a tracking link. All shipping information can also be found here in the FAQ.
*Seasonal production times apply, as indicated on the respective product page and in the FAQ. The production times for each piece of jewelry are always up to date.
Can I swim & shower with my stilnest jewelry?
As a general rule, it is advisable to remove all jewelry before showering or swimming to help maintain their shine for as long as possible. In particular, your plated jewelry should not come into contact with shower gels, soaps, shampoos, or chlorinated or salt water to ensure they remain flawless for a long time. Our 14k solid gold designs are very durable and can come into contact with water.
If your plated jewelry ever needs cleaning, you should gently rinse it with clear tap water to remove any impurities.
What does Gold Vermeil mean?
Gold Vermeil is a respected quality standard for premium jewelry without breaking the budget. The core consists of sterling silver, which is coated with a thick layer of real fine gold – at stilnest, with 24-carat gold (999) and at least 2.5–3 micrometers thick. The Gold Vermeil plating is not only higher quality and more elaborate to produce, it is also significantly more durable and can be renewed.
In contrast, gold-plated jewelry often has a much thinner layer of gold over a base metal, such as brass. This thin layer can wear off more quickly, and repairing it is – at least from a material perspective – hardly economically feasible. The gold used for the Gold Vermeil plating is recycled, for example from precious metal recycling, and processed in Belgium.
What does 14-carat solid gold mean?
What does Fairtrade gold mean?
The Fair Bands collection is made with 14-carat Fairtrade gold, sourced from certified mines in southern Peru, and with diamonds from conflict-free origins. Together with a Hamburg-based workshop and Fairtrade, we aim to make gold mining safer, fairer, and more sustainable. All jewelry pieces are made to order and shipped directly from the goldsmith. Every gram of gold is transparently tracked from the mine to our customers. Our 14-carat Fairtrade gold designs (585 gold) are crafted in an alloy consisting of 58.5% Fairtrade-certified fine gold and 41.5% copper and recycled silver, sourced from RJC-certified suppliers.
Where do you get your gemstones and crystals from?
SHIPMENT
Do you ship to...?
Most likely yes! With very few exceptions, we ship worldwide. At checkout, you can enter your address as usual and will receive all further information there.
Please note:
Due to current legal changes in the United States, we are temporarily suspending shipping to the USA and Puerto Rico starting August 25, 2025.
Currently, we cannot accept or fulfill orders with a delivery address in the USA, regardless of the shipping method. We apologize for the inconvenience and are closely monitoring the situation. Shipping will resume as soon as a reliable and compliant solution is available.
Was kostet der Versand?
We ship with DHL, DHL Express, and internationally also with the respective national postal service. Our fair-trade items are shipped exclusively with UPS. The corresponding shipping costs are shown to you at checkout.
Within Germany, orders of 100.00 EUR or more ship free of charge.
Shipments within the EU as well as international shipments (outside Europe) are free of charge from 250.00 EUR.
Shipments within the EU with a value below 150.00 EUR can also be shipped with the respective national postal service.
For express shipping, we use DHL Express only.
How long does shipping take?
Standard shipping within Germany takes about 2–4 business days, to Austria about 3–4 business days, and to the United Kingdom about 4–6 business days. Shipping to the USA and Australia takes roughly 8 business days, and to all other countries up to 3 weeks — if everything goes smoothly and there are no transport delays.
You also have the option to choose express shipping for many countries (via DHL Express), which takes 2–4 business days worldwide.
Although we do our best, we can never guarantee the minimum shipping time. Please also remember that each piece is crafted with care; some are ready to ship, others are made to order. You can find the estimated shipping date on the product page or in your cart.
How can I track my shipment?
With the tracking link we sent to the email address used for your order! Our shipping partners are DHL within Germany, Österreichische Post for Austria, and Deutsche Post or the respective national postal service for international shipments. Orders from the United Kingdom can be tracked via Royal Mail, and orders from Switzerland via Die Post.
Bietet ihr Express-Versand an?
Yes! We offer shipping with DHL Express. Please note, however: express shipping only shortens the shipping time, not the production time! Express shipping takes about 2–4 business days worldwide.
Do I have to pay tax or duty?
It depends. Orders within the EU are tax-free. DHL Express shipments do not pay taxes upon delivery. Therefore, orders to Switzerland via DHL Express are also exempt from customs fees. For orders to the USA (for order values over 1000 USD) and Canada (depending on the state, 5% taxes and a postal handling fee may apply), taxes may be charged for standard shipping. For standard shipping, the local shipping provider calculates the import tax.
RETURNS & EXCHANGES
Kann ich meine Bestellung zurückschicken?
Yes! You have a 14-day return period for every order. For orders from Germany and Austria, we provide a free DHL return label; international orders must cover return shipping themselves.
Under this link you can register your return or an exchange. Please note that personalized pieces and jewelry with individual engraving cannot be returned. If you're unsure, feel free to send us a message at care@stilnest.com.
Returns from the USA not possible
At the moment, we cannot accept returns from the USA or Puerto Rico, as international postal shipping has been temporarily suspended due to new U.S. customs regulations. This affects all shipping providers, including DHL Paket and other postal services.

Kann ich ein Produkt umtauschen?
Yes, an exchange is possible within 14 days of fulfillment! You can initiate the exchange yourself through the returns portal at the bottom of our website. Simply enter your order number and email address to request the exchange.
Please note: the system does not support all exchange options, such as swapping a chain for a pendant, as price differences or product types may be involved. In such cases, please contact us directly at care@stilnest.com so we can process the exchange manually.
What can I do if I received a wrong/defective product?
We’re very sorry — this shouldn’t have happened! Please take a photo of the piece or the defect and contact us via care@stilnest.com or via WhatsApp so we can review the issue immediately. We’ll find a solution.
Do you offer repairs?
Yes, you can have your Stilnest jewelry repaired with us! We believe in long-lasting quality – and that repairing is better than buying new. We create your design from the precious raw materials of our earth. How sad would it be if something that has been here for billions of years were wasted?
Repairs are free of charge within the first 365 days after your order. After that, we offer a paid repair service. The repair cost is significantly lower than the price of a new piece.
If you would like to send in your Stilnest jewelry for repair, please send us a short message with your order number and photos of the damage to care@stilnest.com.

How do I find out my ring size?
